Costco opened its first location in the Mobile, Alabama area on June 4, 2015. The neighboring community gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by Mobile’s City Councilmen before the store officially opened for business. The warehouse features over 148,000 square feet of retail, fresh produce, tire service center, propane center, fuel sales and liquor sales. The warehouse is located within the new McGowin Park development which will eventually feature other anchors such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Field & Stream, PetCo and several restaurants. The new store is located at 1450 Tingle Circle West.
