Internships
Starting 10/01/2026, AEC will begin interviewing civil engineer and landscape architect interns for the Summer of 2027.
Interns at AEC have experienced numerous elements of civil engineering, including but not limited to:
We believe that former interns are well-prepared for the industry, largely due to the wide array of responsibilities they receive. It is not uncommon for former interns to find themselves working at AEC following graduation. We have had the most success with candidates who share the following qualities:

- Office assistance, permit and plan coordination (assisting in design of plans)
- Site layout/Road layout
- Erosion Control layout design
- Hydrology analysis, including drainage basin/watershed delineation
- Site inspections
- Grading Plan Development

It is not uncommon for former interns to find themselves working at AEC following graduation. We have had the most success with candidates who share the following qualities:
- Experience in AutoCAD
- Client presentation skills
- Interest on experience in site design
- Interest on experience in hydrology, especially stormwater design/detention
- Willingness to work in field
