AEC, Inc. recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a party at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.  Over one hundred employees, clients, friends and family gathered on the lakeside pavilion and enjoyed great food, drinks and wild engineering stories at the expansive environmental facility.  Guests had the opportunity to explore the grounds that are home to over 50 species of wildlife.  AEC gives thanks to everyone who has been involved in the first twenty-five years, we are all looking forward to what we can build together in the next twenty-five.

Congratulations to Atlanta Ronald McDonald House charities and Brasfield & Gorrie (general contractors), who recently celebrated the “Topping Off” milestone for a new Ronald McDonald House facility in Sandy Springs, Georgia.  The ceremony commemorates the completion of the concrete framework of the 31-bedroom three-story house, which will provide a home away from home for families of children being treated at hospitals in the Perimeter area.  AEC has worked with the nonprofit organization and Perkins + Will Architects to provide civil engineering and site design services for the project, which is expected to be available to families by early 2016.

AEC was pleased to celebrate the culmination of four years of work by attending the University of Georgia Veterinary Medical Center dedication ceremony.  Governor Nathan Deal and UGA President Jere Morehead lead the ribbon cutting as approximately five hundred attendees waited anxiously to tour the facility.

AEC provided civil site design and construction observation services for the roughly 300,000 square foot medical center project, which is located on 122 acres just east of the University's main campus.  The facility includes a new teaching hospital for small and large animals, clinical labs to support the hospital, an educational center that houses classrooms and support spaces for students, as well as several free standing barns for specialty services.
