During summer 2018, AEC celebrated two new warehouse openings with Costco: Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and Woodstock, Georgia. Both warehouses feature over 148,000 square feet of retail, fresh produce, tire service center and fuel sales. The Mt. Pleasant warehouse is located within Carolina Park community ( https://carolinapark.com/ ) while the Woodstock location is located within the Ridgewalk Landing development, just east of The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta on Ridgewalk Parkway. For AEC’s summer social this year, we took in the Atlanta United victory over DC United. Our employees and their families thoroughly enjoyed the 3-1 come from behind victory by Atlanta, and Josef Martinez’s record setting 6th career hat trick in just two seasons of play. Thank you once again to all who came out, and thank you for all that you do. AEC, Inc. has been proud to part of the Sun Valley Drive Extension – Phase 1 project team. This project provides an additional route between Mansell Road and Georgia Highway 9 in northern Roswell, by connecting Sun Valley Drive to Warsaw Road. Our work on this project has included stream relocation and restoration planning, stormwater quality and hydrology design, existing pond rehabilitation, and landscape architecture services. The new route is now open to the public.

In 2016, the residence next door was purchased and converted into offices and therapy stations. The campus desperately needed additional parking spaces for staff and parents as well as an access road from the main site to the converted offices. AEC was charged with providing rezoning services and a site plan that met the demands of the growing campus without disturbing the surrounding tree save areas or the stream buffer backing the property. With construction effort now complete, Jacob's Ladder occupies the renovated facility and enjoys the much needed on-site parking. The Roswell Fire Station #4 opened it's oversized doors back in June of this year. The official "hose cutting" was attended by members of the public, Mayor Jere Wood, and Brad Riffel and DeChaun Adams-Lee from AEC. The City of Roswell's commitment to raising water quality standards figured heavily in AEC's design. Setting an example for future projects, AEC took a stringent approach to erosion and sediment control. Multiple BMPs were implemented such as grass filter strips, grass channels, and bioretention swales in series. The station's unique design also features total surface drainage to multiple bioretention areas, eliminating the need for an underground stormwater network. AEC's final grading plan for the site. In an effort to balance the site without costly haul-off, earthen mounds flanking the station were incorporated into the detention design. The "before". It's amazing how much a site can change in under two years.
