AEC, Inc. celebrated the groundbreaking of the new KeHE facility in Douglasville on Friday October 16, 2015. In attendance at this event was the Developer- Scannell Properties, the contractor- Evans Construction, the architect- Randall Paulson, the Mayor of Douglasville Harvey Persons, several City officials and representatives of the end user KeHE.
AEC provided Site Planning, Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture for the 450,000 s.f. office, warehouse and distribution center set in a wooded campus surrounded by several creeks and tree save areas. Special care was taken by AEC in the site design and engineering of the site to preserve the existing creeks, respect the existing wetlands and preserve many of the large trees surrounding the site.
This new KeHE facility will serve much of the Southeast United States and will provide up to 300 jobs for the area. AEC is proud to be a part of the design team and looks forward to the successful completion of this project.
